Ashley Jackson is a senior honors microbiology pre-med student from Frisco, Texas graduating in Spring of 2025. She has been in various courses taught by Dr. Cabeen including his intro microbiology, microbiology honors add-on course, the Cambridge Scholars Program 2023 course: Disease, Drugs, and DNA, and his Antibiotics and Antibiotic Resistance courses. After graduating, Ashley aspires to pursue a career in the medical field and specifically has an interest in gastroenterology. Currently, Ashley is working with PhD student Autumn Hansen in the Cabeen Lab on her project with pyocin lysis exploring both canonical and alternative lysis pathways.
