Emily Fayard is a senior studying animal science with a pre-veterinary/pre-medical concentration. Part of the 2-in-1 program, Emily will advance into veterinary school after only two years at OSU. After veterinary school, Emily aspires to become a wildlife or zoological veterinarian with a focus on rehabilitation, conservation, and research. After taking Dr. Cabeen’s introduction to microbiology course and honors-add on, Emily joined the Cabeen lab working directly with Dr. Cabeen to study osmotic cell death in Bacillus subtilis. Emily is a contributor to the research paper “Temporal σB stress-response profiles impact Bacillus subtilis fitness".
