Born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Kent is a rising senior at Oklahoma State University. Eliza studied the effects of surfaces covered with silicon nanosprings created by the McIlroy group at OSU on bacterial colonization as a Wentz Scholar from 2019-2022. In addition to her academic pursuits, Eliza considers herself a coffee connoisseur and also enjoys reading British literature and hiking. She has now pivoted to studying sociology as her main academic interest.
