Sid Bush obtained a microbiology major and hails from Columbus, Ohio. His interests include genetics, music, and conversation. He's also a yo-yo pro. Sid studied how different stress-sensing proteins in Bacillus subtilis affect cell fitness and survival under stressful conditions by competing different strains against one another. Sid was recognized as a 2018-2019 Wentz Scholar and was also a finalist for the 2020-2021 scholarship. He was also awarded a 2020-2021 Niblack Scholarship. He graduated in May 2021 and uses what he leared as an undergraduate research as an expert research scientist at Kerry Ingredients in Wisconsin.
